Who is RMFA's CEO

On Tuesday 2nd June 2020, the Honourable House of Parliament in Sierra Leone officially approved the Presidential nominee, Mr. Mohamed Kallon as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA). But one may want to know “Who is Mohamed Kallon?”

Mohamed Kallon was born on the 1st September 1968 in the Kenema District; attended the United Methodist Church Primary (1973-1980). He took his Selective Entrance Examination in 1980.

Mr. Kallon furthered schooling at the Government Secondary School, Kenema (1980-1985). He took the General Certificate (Ordinary Level) Examination in 1985; and  the Government Secondary School, Bo (1985-1987). He took the General Certificate (Advanced Level) Examination in 1987.

Mohamed Kallon holds a Bachelor of Science in Economic with honours in Accounting (Second Class Honours-Upper Division) from Fourah Bay College in 1993.

Mr. Kallon started his professional career as a Research Assistant at the Public Enterprises Reform and Divesture Commission (PERDIC); Investigating Officer, Income Tax Department (National Revenue Authority); and Bank Examination Officer at the Bank of Sierra Leone from 1996 to 2000.

Mr. Kallon entered the Oil Industry in November 2000 as Accounting Manager for Mobil Oil Sierra Leone Ltd. He later became the Acting Accounting & Finance Manager. He was appointed as Finance Manager for Total Sierra Leone Ltd in October 2005 till 2017, when he moved to Total Liberia Inc as Finance Manager. On 1st September 2019, he was appointed as Corporate Affairs Manager of Total Sierra Leone Ltd.

During his career drive, Mr. Kallon went through series of short-term career and professionalism courses at both national and international level. He is proficient in Microsoft office tools; conversant with tax and employment laws of Sierra Leone; highly analytical, motivated and self-driven; excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and excellent financial management skills.

Mr. Mohamed Kallon was appointed as the Chief Executive Office of the Road Maintenance Administration Fund (RMFA) by His Excellency the President Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio in May 2020.
