RMFA’s Operation
RMFA manages and provides the funds dedicated for the effective maintenance of the national road network in Sierra Leone. Our principal implementing partners are the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) responsible for the maintenance of the core road network, and the Local Councils responsible for the maintenance of rural feeder roads. Other bodies may apply to RMFA for any road related activity.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor the road network trend and advise stakeholders
- Appraise and approve programmes submitted by road agencies
- Evaluate levels of funding available for road maintenance activities
- Coordinate with Implementing Partners during the planning of annual road maintenance programmes
- Monitor the use of monies allocated from the fund to ensure value for money is achieved.
